No-exam life insurance
Learn which applicants qualify, the process, and what occurs if you don't qualify for accelerated review.
Accelerated underwriting is increasingly common: carriers now make decisions for qualified applicants by reviewing your application, prescription data, and driving records instead of ordering an exam. Fast-track decisions sometimes arrive within hours. Each quote on our site indicates whether an exam is mandatory, possible, or unnecessary.
What it changes
Skipping the exam step does not skip underwriting review. The carrier confirms your answers, and false information can be challenged within the policy's first two years. Should questions come up in the carrier's review, they may still require testing; you retain the right to decline and exit.
Who tends to qualify
Applicants are typically under 60, applying for amounts within the carrier's accelerated threshold, without significant health conditions, and with no recent or current tobacco use. Prior clinical work with documented results can sometimes substitute for a fresh exam.
An exam, if required, is a 20 to 30 minute appointment conducted by a paramedic at your residence or workplace in the Fresno area, at zero cost. For healthy applicants, favorable exam outcomes can lead to better rate classes, making the exam potentially beneficial.
